Collaborative Partnerships
APC’s Collaborative Partners represent a broad and diverse coalition of community stakeholders, including nonprofit agencies, local government, the Board of Education, healthcare providers, faith-based organizations, community centers, colleges and universities, business leaders, and engaged citizens. Together, these partners form a strong network committed to improving outcomes for children and families throughout Augusta-Richmond County.
Representatives convene quarterly to share information, celebrate community achievements, identify emerging challenges, and develop coordinated strategies to address the needs of children and families. These meetings provide a valuable forum for collaboration, helping partners identify service gaps, reduce duplication of efforts, strengthen resource alignment, and advocate for systems-level improvements that create lasting community impact. They also foster relationship-building and cross-sector partnerships that enhance service delivery and community responsiveness.
Each year, one quarterly meeting is dedicated to reviewing community progress and updating the Community Annual Plan, a strategic roadmap developed through extensive community needs assessment and stakeholder engagement. To guide this work, the Collaborative is organized into five focus committees aligned with key community outcomes:
- Healthy Children
- Children Primed for School
- Children Succeeding in School
- Stable, Self-Sufficient, and Productive Families
- Thriving Communities
Each committee is responsible for examining data, assessing community conditions, and establishing benchmark objectives within its focus area. These objectives serve as the foundation for the Community Annual Plan and drive the development of targeted strategies designed to improve outcomes for children and families.
For every benchmark objective, partners identify baseline conditions, measurable goals, and evidence-based strategies through dedicated strategy teams. Collaborative partners then commit their expertise, resources, and leadership to specific initiatives, ensuring that critical services, programs, and activities are available, accessible, and responsive to community needs. Through this collective approach, APC and its partners leverage shared responsibility and coordinated action to create sustainable, community-wide change.
